Default BB Maps - Gridlines NOW MAPS

posted earlier that i had just got gridlines, now i have maps but i have done nothing, nothing at all.
well its working, but no voice instructions, there should be vocal instructions (shouldn't there)?
i am in the UK, also if you go off track it doesn't re-route, am i asking too much this is a phone after all.

No, BBMaps doesn't have voice instructions and the version we're using also doesn't appear to do rerouting.

In the US, Telenav does both. As I recall, the GPS FAQ above lists some options for Europe as well.

i figured it out. since i got my new 8800, i failed to setup my TCP options to show the wap.cingular info with user name and password - as soon as i did that, my maps showed up
