Yo Y'all:

I'm a long time Palm user but just jumped to a BB 8800 and so for so good. I do have one question though. Has anyone tried Spot GPS on the 8800 and made it work? I am on Cingular/BIS, bought Spot, but can't get it to open a mapping service (WMS Error - open tunnel fails!?). The suggestions from the software publishers were pretty useless. Before I unwind this transaction I thought I'd check to see if any has been able to make it work. I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 (terrific toy) so I'm not inclined to buy TeleNav. Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Da Larry

Welcome to the Forums. Make sure your APN settings are correct, and that your account is provisioned correctly with Cingular.

You'll also find better answers to your questions in the GPS forum.

Regardless of getting it to work, check out my GPS tips site before you buy. If you have other internet connections, then it should work.
