Default Error message when launching BB maps

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7290 (TMO) running OS 4.1 and just downloaded both GOOGLE and BB maps. Google Maps works fien while BB maps returns the following message:

Error starting
net_rim_bb_lbs:
Class 'net.rim.device.apps.api.transmission.
TransmissionServiceManager' not found

I did a search and looked on the BB website but couldn't find anything. I also installed the software on my wife's 8700g (TMO) and we're getting the sme message.

Any ideas anyone? Thank you.

I'm getting the exact error on my 7250. I installed it on two different 7130e devices, both are virtually identical, and one of them worked. Still can't figure out why.

All 3 devices are with Bell Mobility, though I don't think it should matter.

The two devices that don't want to work didn't work with an OTA install, or via the axLoader on RIM's website.

Any ideas or solutions?

I had the exact same problems when I tried downloading BB Maps on my 8700r, both by doing an OTA & via desktop.

The resolution was installing to the 4.1.0.351 OS version.

Cheers,

Just updated my Blackberry OS to version 4.1.0.346. Reinstalled BB maps OTA and now it works properly.

The latest version that Bell has available is 4.1.0.303 - am I going to have to wait for them to update?

I'm not having problems, but a buddy is. He has a 7100t on TMO and he says he has the current 4.1 available for the 7100 from TMO. Is there anyone who had the problem with a 7100 and solved it who can share their solution?

My buddy with the 7100 made another try at deleting BBMaps and then downloading and installing again, and he now has it working. Looks like it is the old version, however. Seems to me at that the RIM site must have been giving him an incorrect version for the 7100 earlier and the error has now been corrected. Just FYI.
