Not sure what they updated but there's still no GPS support.

yeah, and if it's close...I think that's going to make big trouble for the likes of telenav, garmin, etc...assuming google gps will be free of course...

Didn't see any changes other than maybe the font. Installed fine over 1.4.4. and required a reboot. No GPS as mentioned.

it'll be free. when does google charge money directly from the end user? but, it's not the same as the other programs, a different use.
google maps doesn't direct you.
the other ones don't have all the layers and info and sat images.
