Not sure if this will help anyone, but I have spent all day trying to get rid of the dredded green lines on my 8800 with Orange in the UK.

I have finally got it to work and thought I would share it.

Just go to options, advanced options, TCP and enter orangewap under APN. leave username and password sections blank. Your maps should pop up straight away.

I'm seriously impressed with this phone. Apart from the maps everything else seems to just work out of box with no agro to set up. I cant say that for most other devices I have bought. RIM have a new convert.

GPS is very accurate where I am, picking up small lanes and tracks as well as main roads. Shame BBmaps doesn't have the voice commands.

I'm in the same boat of being seriously impressed my my Voda 8800 too, a few people at work who have never seen a BB in the flesh are now trawling eBay for used 8700's as they are a bit cheaper so they can try one out for themselves.

I found the BB maps fix for Voda on this forum, remove the .com at the end of internet.com access point name and viola, in came the map data!
