You can just upgrade to the Rodgers OS and it should work. Seems to be part of the very latest OS.

Can't attest to this personally, but I've read that voice directions through BT is a capability of the Rodgers .90 OS. I am running .74 and it doesn't work for me at this time.

Would this new Telenav update work on Rogers? Rogers is currently running version 4.7, using 4.7 on my 8800 right now

can any1 tell, the bluetooth gps receiver that telenav sells, how's battery life ? also, it would be nice to pair both the gps and headset to the phone at the same time, is that possible with bluetooth on blackberrys ?

Is there a way to get this other than OTA? I've been having problems with Invalid COD errors. I've done everything I can to get it to work (APN, WML only etc.) with no success.
Thanks

I had a lot of trouble getting it to download OTA, but eventually succeeded. I had to delete 4.7 first and clear the browser history, cache and cookies. It then after a few tries, downloaded properly and worked.

Just tried to delete 4.7 and it gives me an error saying IT Policy requires this application? I've never had that happen before...
Can I check to see if my IT dept setup a policy to not allow deletion of apps? They tell me they didn't...

5.1 does look sweet and have added functionality....after calling telenav to ask about it, they say it could be released @ any time. they said something about it still being tested for the pearl, so it's only a matter of time.
i'm peeling my eye on telenav's web site often for 5.1....

Has anyone besides kasperapd been able to receive voice activated directions via their Bluetooth device? If so, please post the BT model.
I've tried a few - no dice. Only get voice via 8800 speakerphone.
EDIT - I just read up. SD I'll search the forum to see where I can find the Rogers OS upgrade. Thanks.

Hi Cyclops, I have downloaded Version 5 on my Rogers 8800.. The installation went well and I can launch the application... I have a problem when I get to the login screen... The application asks for a password (4 digit PIN)... I didn't to have to do that with version 4.7 on Rogers... Just the phone number was sufficient...
So? Am I missing something?

I'm a 1st time telenav user in which I'm on the 60 day free trial period.
Telenav sent my 4 digit pin upon initial registration. Not sure how it would work for existing 4.7 users.

I originally signed up via the Telenav website and at registration, it asked me to select a 4 digit pin. After upgrading to 5.1, it asked me for this same pin when I set up the software. I have seen others say that if you don't select one, the default pin is the last 4 digits of you cell number.

It may be more than you want to spend, but chinesecatt has something that will work.

I am a 8800 user on TMo. I DL'd the new Telenav, but when it asked for permission to access my addresses, I accidentally selected "no." Now it won't run at all. I have tried reinstalling Telenav OTA twice, but each time I restart Telenav, it keeps telling me that my permissions will not allow the app to run.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Oops. Okay, I figured it out. Went to Options, Advanced, Applications, Telenav, Permissions...Allowed all and it let me in.
