Default Telenav 5.1 Released for TM 8800 - 05-01-2007, 11:23 AM

I have removed the URL at TN's request. They believe the url was an older version and not the correct one. If anyone has the current DL URL please PM me or email me at gmail.

Note that I am on Cingular and this was pushed to TM this am. This throws a java error for me when I try to type in an address. I am on the Rodgers .90 OS. Cool new GUI though.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8800: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I used the call in address feature just now and it loaded just fine! Routed me to court and even had me re-route due to traffic once.. Screen goes blank until you get close to turn the it wakes up automatically.. Pretty sweet! Love the phone in address feature... Off to court I go, I will try it again on my way home..

just got home (dude for court was a no show so it was chop, chop) I had it route me home and did just fine. I even made a few wrong turns to see what it would do and it automatically re-routed me based on the wrong turn.... Now if we can get the address entry issue fixed it would be awesome!

I’m not a fan of that feature. You can change the backlight to stay on in the settings.

Yes I agree, I was running on battery and did not want to drain it down... i agree though, it is way better with the screen on as long as you are plugged in to the vehicle charger.....

I am actually thinking about pulling the Eclipse Nav system out of my Envoy (and selling it) and putting the stock stereo system back in.... Now all I need is a good mount for the 8800 and a vehicle charger.....

UPDATE:

I sent an email to their tech support and they suggested I delete the app and reinstall from this link....

I did and same problem with the java error of:

Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

I hope they get a fix out for it....

EDIT AGAIN:

Called their tech support and was told that they are not supporting the 8800 and they said there is nothing they can do....

I hope SD has better luck with getting us a fix.....

Wow - I wonder if T-Mobile knows that the free 60 day trial doesn't really work properly on an 8800!

Added to the list for next week :0

I just called Telenav and they said 4.7 is the latest version for tmo and Cingular. I am going to just call in the addresses for now until they fix the bug. Hope there are no other crashes ot issues.

Should be fixed within the hour. Rerun the download. If not fixed delete an rerun. Assumes no more problems on their end

I like this program. Recently bought a Tomtom 510 and pretty sorry I did. Thinking about returning it and using Telenav again
