I have read dozens of posts regarding specific models of phones and gps capabilities. I am getting more confused. Is there a phone for VZW that has built-in GPS receiver that will work as a stand alone unit without the VZW Navigator software and without a seperate puck? Also, I would like the phone to be a PDA type with qwerty keypad,etc. I have VZW unlimited data, so that's not a concern.

Yes the 8703e has it and supposedly the 8830 BUT VZ has crippled it. Go figure. See the GPS forum. Search for petition.

First, thanks for the reply. So, it sounds like the best thing loyal Verizon users can do is purchase one of those two models, and hope VZ comes to their senses and unlocks that feature. In the meantime, we go with a puck GPS.
