And apparently you've never heard of grammar or punctuation.

To bjenkins17... if you could possibly clarify your question, that would help us help you.
What is it that you'd like to know about the BlackBerry 8800 with regards to GPS?

General information regarding GPS can be found here:
Global Positioning System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some people may not have heard words used in certain capacities before. For instance, the only time they may have heard the word 'radio' is in regards to what you listen to while sitting on the beach working on your tan.

Here are some definitions to clarify:

GPS (Global Positioning System): A satellite based navigation system providing accuracy usable for side scan sonar surveys on a worldwide basis. GPS has become a universal, reliable positioning system.

Radio: The wireless transmission of signals, by modulation of electromagnetic waves with frequencies below those of light (Like the ones that come from the GPS satellites).

8800: A number that is discretely one greater than 8799 and one less than 8801. Also happens to be a model designation # of a reletively new BlackBerry device produced by RIM.

Combine the three and you have a powerful instrument, which, when combined with the right software (I recommend TeleNav) can produce real-time maps to assist in navigation and positioning. (i.e. going to the store to pick up some sunscreen.)

Sorry, work is exceptionally boring today

Look... I'm sorry for pointing out your poor grammar.
However, you didn't simply "ask a question". You insulted a member on their very first post, which makes it very unlikely that they'd ever come back here to defend themselves, let alone seek help from the other users in this group. I felt I should at least take an opportunity to belittle you after you've belittled them.

Thanks

I was hearing about a program that used the internal GPS in this phone to actually stream music. Seemed far fetched to me but I thought I should ask the experts.

Thanks again.

I'm certainly no expert, and I do agree that it sounds far fetched.
I never heard of any method of streaming audio to a GPS receiver.
