Thumbs down Can't get Google Maps on 8100 to work - 05-16-2007, 06:54 AM

Hi Gay n' Gals

I have installed the latest version of Google maps on my 8100 and have partnered my GPS received by Bluetooth.

When I run Google maps I get the following message: "Sorry, we can't determine your location at present."

If I use BBmaps my location is pickup immediately, anyone else experience this? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

When in the Google Maps, hit the menu key. Select Bluetooth GPS. Select the BT-GPS Com port. Then go back and try hitting the "0" key and see if it picks up your location.

Even though the puck may have your coordinates, you may need to move around a bit for GMM to pick up on it. Also follow the recommendation above.
