Default Google Maps GPS on Curve - 06-04-2007, 11:19 AM

Is anyone else having trouble getting this to work?

I installed Google Maps no problem, I have the unit paired with a GPS Slim 240however the GPS option is not on the menu... I had this working great on my Pearl.

I just installed BB Maps and the GPS hooks up fine, so I know the BB and puck can see each other.

Is the 8300 installing the 8800 version. That could be the issue which has no GPS source option.

That could be it, although it does recognize the BB as an 8300.

Is there any way to install besides OTA where I could download for a specific model?

As with the 8800 - started with the 8700 version install and a few weeks later a true 8800 version shows up. 8300 users will have to wait.
