Default Send GPS info to user defined webserver - 06-05-2007, 03:05 PM

Hello Blackberry People -

I do not have a blackberry yet, but am considering buying one - the curve.

I would like to use a GPS receiver (GlobalSat 359) or the internal GPS to send location information to my webserver - not someone else's service.

Is this possible with Blackberry devices given the appropriate software? If it is possible - what software is it that would allow me to do this?

I have seen MGMaps and GeoTrace and other softwares that will set up your cell/smart phone to send location information to THEIR servers, but not to a user-specified server.

This is killing me - it seems so obvious of a task - and I certainly lack the mobile app programming skills to do it for myself.

Thanks!
