Default Holux 240 and Pearl Problems - 06-07-2007, 03:12 PM

Hi gang,
I am sure I am doing something wrong, but I cant get telenav or Google maps to work with my Holux 240. Telenav always tells me weak gps move to clear location. (when I am outside) Google maps crashes and throws fatal errors when I start GPS. Berry Maps works but I want to do turn by turn. I have checked and have the most up to date software but still no love. Any suggestions?

Cheers!

In telenav it takes almost 90 seconds to read gps, (when it is not telling me that the gps is invalid) and then says Weak GPS signal move to an open area and try again. Google maps says 0kb loading for as long as you care to stare at it. I guess I should have tried the BT 359....

Cheers!

Make sure you go to Option -> Bluetooth and select the HOLUX GPSlim240 and do any/all of the following:

1. If you don't see any services listed, make sure your HOLUX is on and press menu and select Refresh Service List (you should see SPP or Serial Port or something like that)

2. In the Trusted option make sure you select "Yes" it defaults to "Ask" when you pair it initially.

3. I had the same problem with Google Maps and I believe I uninstalled, rebooted reinstalled rebooted and it worked fine. Telenav may not work at all as I am having problems with that but if you can get BB Maps and Google Maps to work you will at least know it works.

Let us know if any of this helped.
