Hi all,

Since I got my BT Puck the other day I decided to write a small GPS application just for the hell of it. Nothing fancy. I was happy that it was actually pretty easy to do. I figured I might as well share the app even if its pretty boring in case someone finds it interesting.

Basically all it does is allow you to mark a location and then find your way back to it (just giving the direction and distance you need to travel). Nothing fancy.

You can find the download AND the source code (well most of the code) here.

If you actually do like the app and want any additional features let me know and I'll see what I can do.

So, a possible use might be a parking spot marker type utility then? Pretty neat!

That's what I originally had planned, but my brief testing walking around today was that its only accurate within about 100 feet or so. even standing still it keeps changing my coordinates ever so slight. Doubt its something witht the code just GPS itself (although there are settings you can change in the code to force it to be more accurate). I'll continue to investigate.

I'd love to hear any feedback about its accuracy.

Can't get it to work with BB Pearl and Holux SlimGPS 240 BT GPS. GPS works fine under BB Maps and Google Maps. Any clues?

Will this work with the internal gps for the 8800 or is it strictly written for the puck?
