Default Problem running Google maps 1.6.1 - 09-13-2007, 03:17 PM
I installed Google maps 1.6.1 on 8703e

It did not replace version 1.5.1

When running the 1.6.1 version I get error:

Error starting gmaps8703_v4_1_L1:
Symbol 'GPRSInfo.getHomeMCC' not found.

I can go into Applications and delete 1.6.1, but 1.5.1 is not listed.

Any ideas?

I believe you can find threads here on how to downgrade. I don't think 1.61 runs on your BB.

Stinson is right. 1.6.1 does not run on the 8703e.

Why then when I got to google.com/gmm does it say:

Download Google Maps (version v1.6.1) on your BlackBerry 8703.

?

Because it's broken.
1.6.1 doesn't work right on an 8703e.

Google Maps does work on the 8703e, Google links you to the wrong version on their page....
