Default Offline maps - 09-17-2007, 04:36 PM

Hi.

Im a semi good blackberry developer and im now looking into the gps wonders.

Im looking for a way to have my maps downloaded on my device rather than downloading from internet (as i need them offline as well). I may need only parts of an area so i dont need to have all googlemaps stored locally

any ideas are very welcome and much appreciated

Write us a good app for that! There isn't anything for locally stored mapping.

There's a software called TrekBuddy, and here's the tool to download Google map for it
gm2tb - GoogleMaps 2 TrekBuddy maps

It'd be great if you can rewrite something that will grab a bigger map than 2000px by 2000px, say 100 square miles area or something and can run off of a PC instead of from that site. Or you can contribute to the TrekBuddy project?
