Default Plain old GPS software for 7130e - 09-17-2007, 04:58 PM

I have gone cross-eyed trying to find this, but to no avail.

I am looking for a basic GPS software that will allow my phone to act like a conventional GPS receiver.

I have a VZW 7130e with a Holux gps240. Its paired, works awesome, using Google map, bbmaps, etc. What I would like it to be able to do is to report back my lat and long wherever I am, do waypoints, tracks, etc. I am not looking for super precision, just a rough approx.

I know telenav has some of that functionality, Waypoint maybe too, but I am not looking for voice nav or anything like a TomTom.

looked at BB tracker and bbTracker and can't get them to work without OS 4.2, which to my knowledge doesn't include VZW 7130e's.

Any suggestions?

Device won't what? I know the GPS is crippled by VZW, so I have it paired with a GPS puck, although mine looks more like a pack of gum

Unless you don't have BlackBerry Os 4.2 those functions will not work on your phone. Most applications write files to your file system and therefor, you need a newer OS.
