Default TMo (HTC) Shadow - 12-17-2007, 09:59 PM

Anyone play with this thing?

I have a friend who just got one and I goofed around with it today.... It's not bad for WM6 device... It has some sort of custom WM6 interface that was developed specifically for TMO and the Shadow...

I know it's still WM6 but it's pretty sweet for a slider phone that's also a smart phone...

I got to play around with one a couple of days ago. The interface is pretty intuitive, the display is awesome...The phone body doesn't really have anything to "grip" when you work the slide, so I kept pressing soft keys accidentally.

No clue how it does call quality or e-mail delivery wise.

The battery adds a lot of weight to it-in hand, it feels like a Pearl full of concrete.

Sticking with my Curve for the foreseeable future.

I have a Curve 8320 on my personal line but I tried the Shadow on my other line. The phone has a really nice amount of memory, both ROM and RAM, and is VERY stable because of this. I liked pretty much everything about the phone except for the battery life and the keyboard/keypad. For someone who does not do much messaging (or doesn't mind xT9 or multitap) but needs the other PIM and smartphone functions that this device offers I definitely recommend it.

I like having a full keyboard, even though I don't message much on that line, so I managed to trade for an HTC S710. It has much less memory so I have to watch that, but everything else is excellent, once again. Plus, the battery life is much better than the Shadow.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Ibought the shadow at full price and I returned and exchanged it and paid the difference for the 8320 curve.besides the freezing up and the constant charging of the battery I loved everything else about it.the memory was great.but comparing it to my curve I made the right choice.
