Default iPod Touch and probably iPhone - 10-22-2008, 11:15 PM

Well after having my ipod touch for a good amount of time now I will say it has def. crippled me. The touch screen is so sensitive and all that needs be done is a simple wisk of the screen to achieve a desired action. I mean you barely have to touch it for it to react. This has crippled my use of my bb 8100, w/ the buttons being well not so sensitive, I find myself having to go back on almost everything I type w/ my bb and fix it due to missing letters or characters. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this technology and am glad to see RIM "catching up" if you will and using it in the storm...although what I have read makes me think you still have to have some pressure behind the touch. Well I just felt like writing that short observation of mine, =).

I have the 2G iPhone and I was honestly surprised by how sensitive the screen is... I would have never considered purchasing one (it's my sister's old phone) just because I didn't trust that technology to hold up for very long, thought the touchscreen would become unresponsive easily and would get destroyed easily. Haven't ever owned another touchscreen phone, so not sure how it compares, but I like it.

strike2tamu - have you tried the Storm. The keyboard is nothing like the iPhone.
The two issues people (internal to my company) have with the iPhone are the abysmal battery, and the overly sensitive touch screen!

I love the touchscreen, personally... And my phone is going on day 3 of not being re-charged.

How could he try a device that hasn't been released yet?

I tried it last week at a conference. I played with it for long enough to make a comparison.

I asked a simple question. The Storm is out and about.
