Okay folks,

Got a chance to see the replacement for the 8525 at ATT the 8925 "TILT"!

This thing has no chance of luring me away from my BB, but I do have to admit it looks very nice! Housing is black with a charcoal grey brushed metal bezel!
It has WM 6 :(

Haven't had a chance to play with it but it looks very sharp and sexy

I hear the Tilt is the device to own if you're into WinMo. Personally, that would make me run screaming from it. ;)

I owned the HTC Wing for four days before I returned it. Loved the form factor and sliding keyboard but the low on-board memory made it an extremely laggy, unstable phone to use. But it has a positive side -- it got me to buy my first BB. Never looked back!

Tried the Tilt for almost two weeks, then exchanged it for 8310.

The good:
3G on the Tilt is fantastic and WiFi is blazing (unlike the 8820). WM6 lets you install apps on the storage card which saves onboard memory. BB Connect provides push email as good as any real BB. Never froze or rebooted. Nice selection of ring tones.

The bad:
Typing on that keyboard is miserable, the UI lags very bad (sometimes many, many seconds for simple things) and is not efficient. It is simply not possible to "one-hand" it for many basic functions. Battery life is unacceptable (couldn't make it through a whole day, ever). Screen can be hard to see in bright sun. The Today screen is no match for PocketDay, and nothing even close is available. BT audio, headset (not stereo headset, never tried them) is tinny sounding, has low volume. This was also the case with the built-in BT in my Acura.

So happy to be back to a real BB. And, BT audio quality is now back to the stellar sound I had before.

Bye Bye Tilt. Hello BB 9xxx (when it comes).

I have played with the tilt . And there is no comparison between the two devices. Touch screen hot processor , tilt screen and its easy to unlock . Plus all the amazing roms that have been ported to run on it ... Night and day my friend ...

Just my 2 cents

I had the Tilt for 6 months. I actually had the unlocked unbranded TyTn II wich is the better version of the tilt. I bought it from clove in the UK. It is a 3.5 G, WiFi, independent GPS, 256 MG ROM, 128 MB RAM amazing, stupendous beauty. It was heavy and big but it was amazing. I loved it but I got so unbelievably sick to death of sliding out the keyboard that I sold it on ebay.

Sliders are lousy!!!
