Anybody know if it's possible to get replacement screens for a Blackberry?

How bad is the damage? Do you have an equipment protection plan? Can you get a protection plan?

Damage isn't too bad, but it'd be nice to replace it (minor crack). And no, no replacement plan (unfortunately).

Does your carrier offer a replacement plan? On T-Mobile you can pay around $4 per month, and after 60 days you get coverage of up to $1000 per year (up to 2 devices a year). My 20 month old decided to see what would happen if he hurled by Blackberry into the bathtub. I'm not sure if it would have been any better if it was full of water. In any event, I had a new 7230 by the end of the week. $35 dedcutible. Check it out.

meh, RIM has designed their blackberries really well, and almost all of their devices, the screens, and any other layered parts are easily replaced.

The others aren't too bad, but they can't compare with the ease of changing a 72xx or 62xx device, which simply unclip with no tools or anything required, which is far easier than either the 58xx or x7xx form factors.

Sorry, I meant to say no extra tools needed once you'd opened it up with the usual screwdriver.

My 7230's seen better days. The screens totally cracked. Anybody know where to get one? And how to install one?

Thanks!

Couple of questions. Would a 7280 screen work in a 7290?

Also, anyone able to "help" with a 7290 that my wife accidently dropped?

Do you know how a 7730 screen is connected? I may need to change one of these shortly.
