Default can't wipe out Blackberry or connect to the DM

Please Login to Remove!

hello,

I have a BB unit that has a JVM 531 error which means that the memory is full. Well, it's so full that I can't even connect to the Desktop Manager to wipe out the data from the unit using javaloader.

When I hard reset by removing the battery  , it simply shows the hourglass and just sits and sits until it goes to the 531 error and it does this over and over.

thanks for any help.

Default Wipe Data

If it is a current model w/ v4.0 you can goto Options=>Security and select wipe data from the handheld.

Thumbs up

I figured it out. Since the existing Desktop Manager couldn't even see the connection, I tried a new setup on a different workstation and with the new Desktop Manager, it saw the unit.

I then downloaded the Blackberry JDE and ran javaloader.exe -usb wipe and voila, completely wiped out everything.

thanks again.
