Default RIM Wall Charger Mod # BCM6710A

Please Login to Remove!

I have a RIM wall charger, model number BCM6710A, part number ASY-06630-001 that has a compartment for a battery as well as a USB connection to charge my handheld. When I connect my 7520 to the charger via the USB cable, the LED on the charger lights up in yellow and after a few seconds it turns red and blinks.

Does anybody know what this means. The battery in my BB is new and my spare battery charges fine while in the spare battery compartment.

This charger was given to me and I don't have the manual and I can't find one on the internet.

Thanks

well what you can also do is try using a computer usb port and see if it charges. if not then try a motorola razor charger or one of those bluetooth chargers. they should work fine. i use like 6 diferent chargers for mine.. i leave one everywhere cause its really a drag to be carrying around chargers lol.

yes it is okay

The phone has a charging circuit that controls the charging current and prevents the device from being harmed by overvoltage/current.
