Default New: Colors from Seidio! - 02-13-2008, 11:08 PM

I just received these from Seidio. They are the rubberized hard cases for the Curve. They've added Blue and Burgundy. Here's what they look like:

SUPER SLIM RUBBERIZED HARD CASE-BLACKBERRY CURVE - *CSR2YBB8300-BK

They're both nice looking. Now I just have to decide which one I like best....

Coll John. Are they the slicker "silicon" feel or the grippier rubber feel?

Rubberized....slightly different feeling than the black one but still the soft rubbery feel. I think I like the red...

I like the burgundy case but I would like it more if it was more of a red color.

I wonder if the blue would look better with the Crimson 8310. I don't think the burgundy one would look nice.

I need a lady's opinion. Juwaack?

Blue is nice. Wish they had these for the 8830.

Just Blue and Burgundy are listed on the site. They are really a nice fit. They now have latches on all corners of the cases. The first batch didn't have a latch on the top left as they wanted it to be easy to remove. However, people didn't like it loose so they added the latch.

I am a big fan of these cases. I have a hybrid case also (with the clear front and black back) and my only complaint with it is you can see the casting marks where they added to the mold to add the latch on the top left corner. On the colored cases you can't see it, but on the clear ones it looks like there is a piece of tape on the underside of the clear one. You can see it in MrKyoo's pictures of his BB in the Seidio cradle. Other than that these are a great investment if you plan on keeping your device for a while. When I pull mine out it still looks brand new.

Does it fit in any holsters with this on? Like in an 8700 holster?

I use it in my OEM holster...the rubberized finish makes it a little more difficult to go in, but I use it this way all the time.

I was just going to say do they make a combo with a holster but I see you have orginal pouch? Do you think this is a better fit then using on otterbox defender case for outdoor work?

May the Blackberry be with you.

I just ordered these as well as a new 8310. I got the combo package---battery cover, skin, and holster---all in black. I'm quite excited to be getting my first BB and have spent this weekend pouring over the forums and help topics.

Thanks, John Clark, for all your helpful threads~

I just got the same combo for my pearl!!

Question - does the lid of the clip look secure? It seems to me the black clip on the top should go completely around. It says right on my order form "clip for skinned BB."

See what I mean? Probably a question for the Seidio man!

I just ordered the blue one, but I think I might get the burgundy one too. I'm sure eventually I will want a change.
