Default SenaCases Organizer for BB - 04-11-2008, 02:02 AM

So I was searching around for luxury slim pocket cases (i hate belt clip cases) for my 8820 and came accross this beauty. I am anal about organization and clutter so this is a pretty functional pocket organizer case. It would deff eliminate a use for my wallet and best of all, it supports BBs sleep function which is pretty hard to find in a flip case. What do you guys think about it? Are any of you currently using?

Product Information from their site:

● Ultra Slim Design
● Headset jack and USB port openings
● Magnetic closure
● Microphone and speaker opening
● Easy access to keyboard
● ULTRA belt-clip (optional)
● Easy access volume keys and convenience key
● LED opening
● 2 Micro-SD card slots
● 1 Multi-purpose pocket
● 2 Credit card pocket
● Compatible with Blackberry's sleep function
● Top Quality full grain leather
● No plastic cover on screen or keyboard

Nice.
My biggest concerns is the exposed corners (where most of my phones wear) and the screen. Also, which this may have changed since I've had a leather case, the case fraying and color fading.
Don't get me wrong, they are nice leather cases and I might be tempted with the flipdown variant.

I'm using this case now, Speck SeeThru (Blue version from TMobile Store), which I like because it's a hard case, it covers the screen, and the tabs at the top are on the outside and don't rub on the phone. I will pick up a clear one for the front soon (front is clear and back is blue).

BTW, your top link doesn't work.

Default Go with the Sena Case - 04-11-2008, 02:27 PM

I've had three of 'em: one for my Palm E2, Treo and my Curve.
They fit very tightly around the device and the leather breaks in nicely.

The leather does tend to scratch, however, if you repeatedly put/ take out of a zippered pocket. Other than that, they've worn very well.

I had one of the flip down versions of this case. Although well constructed using nice quality leather, the magnet for the sleep function is poorly positioned. About 30% of the time, the magnet would not activate the sleep function on the phone. Perhaps if the magnet was a bit stronger and/or repositioned, it might have been better. When I contacted Sena about it, they didn't really want to do anything about it since theses cases are manufactured in Turkey and they were just a distributer.

Another thing I did not like was the leather strap going across the base of the screen above the trackball. I felt it hindered it's use a little bit, but I see a lot cases have this little strap so it may just be a personal preference.

thanks for your review. i noticed that senacases was located just a few miles from where i live so i went down for a visit. needless to say, you were right...looks great, but the negatives were too strong. I am now looking toward rexregina for their pocket case.

Great products and seems excellent quality.

But when i was surfing in the website I have noticed that Sena's Verising certificate is not real..Actually they do not have a verising certificate and its just an image..you cannot validate it..

I think that makes me not to enter my credit card details in this website.
