Post Seagate D.A.V.E.: Mobile HD with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi - 04-27-2008, 05:28 AM

Decided to peruse Google for a USB thumb drive with Bluetooth capabilities to be used as an external storage for my BlackBerry and stumbled upon this. Very interesting. The website shows a 60GB model, to be honest I'd be happy with a 10GB. From what I've read, it's supposed to be out either May or June this year though it's from secondary sources so it's TBD.

I hate to make a mention of it here, but OS 4.5 is said to allow the Media Card unlimited size capability.

Thanks for the comment, though.
Actually microSDs reach 12gb released right now, 16 and 32gbs work in 4.5 as well (not released but have been tested by yours truly). They also do not need to be recharged, and you do not have to worry about carrying around extra equipment. But "Thanks for the comment, though."

Calm down Ulukia. I'm sure many people are interested in what you've found out. Sith is not sponsoring anything, and I'm not sure what your issue is with his comments.

Fantastic thing about being a member of a public board, disagreements can be posted. The sponsorship was not for the 4.5 Beta, but it was informing you that there the BlackBerry devices will support larger size cards. Your statement that the cards do not reach 20gb, is only partially correct. Which was the reason for my correction.

The basic rule is to each their own, you prefer the external HD, others may not want to carry an extra device or worry about losing data with a hardware failure, but giving an attitude will only make it less likely in the future that people on the boards will help you, or that you will have a pleansant experience here. You can post the hardware/software posts that you like, that is your choice, but i would recommend being more polite in the future.

That comment doesn't seem like you appreciate any of what he said. And you took issue with my first post, which was merely an elaboration on what JS said, and a minor correction to you. While my post had one sarcastic element, it was to show you how your post looks. If you do not like when others say the same thing, perhaps you shouldn't say it? Your post has been made, counterpoints to the functionality has also been made. I do not see any reason to linger in this topic anymore. Take my recommendation any way you like, also your choice. Do not be surprised if you alienate others though.

My apologies if I may have offended anyone. My biggest beef is that the notion of the a bigger microSD really doesn't come close to the size capacity this can nor the extra features that come with it. Granted this is a public forum and we should ALL be polite to each other but it is also a given to stay on topic of the OP rather than turning it into a thread about microSD capability in a beta OS.

Wow, I showed up too late to read your comments before you edited them all just to make fun of those with special needs and less fortunate than you?

I think your post about them says more about yourself than the egos you are attempting to preserve.

Neither does Sith's comments toward me but I'm willing to let it go.

Oh, you just want to keep pissing people off.
I'd let it drop.

I have. I'm still curious about the technology presented in the original post, though.
