Default Recommend Me a Hands-Free Unit - 05-14-2008, 03:02 PM

Hey guys, so it’s about time I got myself a hands-free unit.

Has anyone got suggestions?

I’d rather not have Bluetooth. I’ll deal with one with a mic boom, but would prefer one without. Also, I’ll mostly be using it in my car, so if there’s something out there that can filter out the background noise would be a big plus.

Oh yeah, and I’d like to not spend too much. Something to just get the job done is all I need. I don’t need any bling to make a fashion statement.

Also, I wear spectacles. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks much in advance.

I use a blueant Z9 earpiece. It is bluetooth but it works great. I too only use it for driving and it is lightweight and has great background noise cancelling capabilitites. Shop around for a good price, I paid about $70.00 but I am sure you can get a better price than that. However, I am sure this will be the last bluetooth I buy for a very long time.

Ya it's tough most people use BT now, the Jawbone is also very good.

the reason i would rather not have bluetooth is so i can just leave the thing in the car. other when i'm driving, there is really no reason for me to use it. well, maybe once in a long while, my mum will go on and on when she calls.

Wirelessly posted

Just got a Moto T305. It connects automatically when I get in the car and lasts about a week on standby. And the noise cancellation is great even with the sunroof open.

Blackberrys I'ved owned:
850 still have it, anyone want to buy it?

Jawbone 1 is excellent with great reviews...Jawbone 2 came out recently...Looks nicer, but haven't got and first hand reviews...Motorola H is cool looking and sounds great in ear, but not as good with the noise cancelling as the Jawbones...I'm gonna pick up the Jawbone 2 and give it a spin pretty soon, unless crazy bad reviews start to pop up...
