Unhappy battery issue?!?!? - 05-26-2008, 01:01 PM

okay, so maybe I didn't read all of this thoroughly, but there's just so much to read about these phones. My issue is... I was on my phone, then I hung up and all of the sudden it froze. The screen was white and there was that hourglass spinning on it. I messed with it so much to try and get it to work, because it often freezes like this. I have finally taken notice to my battery and never noticed before that the bottom of it, was white with pink x's. is it supposed to be like that? or is that a sign of water damage? i tried turning it on today and it didn't work at all. i'm really bummed because water damage is my fault and it wont be covered.... the weird thing is, i have one of those black rubber covers on it and i NEVER leave my phone around anything wet or what have you, because i am so worried about messing it up.
it could also be heat exposure... i mean, it IS hot in texas.
Thanks.

Oh and another question, this could be it too, do you think using a motorola charger could damage the smart phone as well? i was told a long time ago it could, but then i asked someone at a retail store and they told me it didn't matter.

ahhhh i just want my life back.

(oh and i am very new to this, so forgive me if i posted it in the wrong thread!)

So I ended up calling warranty and they shipped me a new phone. Apparently it was my device and not the battery. Thanks guys and have an amazing day!
