Default Are horizontal cases easy to get too? - 06-06-2008, 01:30 PM

Well I was looking at one of the horizontal cases like this one , and I was wondering if they are harder to get too than a standard vertical case? My old phone had a case similar to that and I would sometimes miss calls trying to get the stupid thing out of the case. If anyone owns one and can vouch for it please feel free to do so.

Welcome to the group...

I have had numerous cases both types. I prefer the Rim swivel case myself. It has a cut out for the track ball, the sleeper magnet and you can swivel it in any direction.

Thank you, and I had not thought about the swivel. I suppose that would be the compromise then between the two.

i have the OEM Blackberry horizontal leather case. it has plasticized grooves to protect the trackball, sleeper magnet, card slot for credit cards, and a removable lanyard. there's a hole in the bottom i can stick my fingers into to push the berry out, but i usually just leave it in the case and use my bt headset when out and about, and rarely use the case when i'm at home or in a fixed location.

it doesnt have a belt clip, though.

i love the case though... i never wear my cellphones, so the lack of a belt clip was a plus for me in reducing its profile. the card slot is great for storing all of the coffee club cards i may need for wifi access at hotspots... starbucks, borders, and barnes & noble to name a few.

my only wish is that it had a leather "tube" along the top or bottom to fit the Blackberry/Plantronics 655+ headset and cradle... i may take it to a leathersmith to have that incorporated into the case, though.
