Default Curve case idea to protect from drops - 06-29-2008, 09:26 PM

My main concern is simply protecting the Blackberry without adding bulk. I have a tendency to drop my cell phones a lot so I really just want to protect it the most when I drop it...

I'm thinking about buying the:

RIM's Blackberry Silicone Skin Case and then also putting on the InvisibleShield Screen Protector

What do you guys think? Should I just get the InvisibleShield full body case? Does the skin case tend to slide around easily if dropped?

Here's what I do:
Invisible Shield on screen and battery cover and then put on one of these:

SUPER SLIM RUBBERIZED HARD CASE-BLACKBERRY 8300/8310/8320 CURVE - *CSR2YBB8300-BK

why do you use invisible shield on the battery cover too if you have that hard case? i tried out that seidio case, but the bar in the middle right above the pearl kind of interfered with my tracking abilities. do you find it inconvenient?

I really like the Seidio. I got used to the bar there very quickly. I use the invisible shield so that grit doesn't get between the back of the case and the battery cover and scratch it up. I've been VERY happy with my Seidio hardcase. I have a blue and a red.

did you buy the full body invisible shield and only use the screen and battery cover sections?

Yes. I take it out occasionally and having the back covered is nice.

Default Curve Case Questions - 07-03-2008, 02:14 PM

I have a few questions about cases for the 8310. I would like to be able to get an armband case so I can listen to music on my phone while at the gym. I've looked around a little and can't seem to find one. Any idea where I can find one of if they make any specifically for the Curve?

My next questions are about my daughter's Curve. She is a bit of a klutz and drops her phone quite often. Is there a case that will be able to stand up to repeated abuse without adding significant bulk to the phone? Also, is there someplace that I can get her phone fixed? She's cracked the case at the top and I think she's also having some keyboard issues and screen problems (although it doesn't seem to stop her from using BBM with my wife who also has a Curve).
