Default Spare Battery Chargers - 07-15-2008, 11:48 PM

So I have had My curve for a couple weeks now. I love my phone. I am running into some issues when I am not able to charge my phone often it gets very low. I want to carry a second battery for such an occasion. So I am at an impass which charger to get.

Should I get the OEM BlackBerry Mini External Battery Charger or the after market Seidio Multi-Function Battery Charger.

Welcome to the forums.

OEM is always the safest bet, but Seidio generally has a good reputation. I doubt that you'll go wrong either way you go.

Thank you for the Welcome.

Ya I am at such an impasse over this, and I don't know why.

you could charge the battery of your blackberry environmentally friendly with a solar charger

I suggest you check out the Tekkeon MP1550 or MP1800.

The 1800 has a built-in LiIon battery you daisy-chain charge with your handset & packs enough punch to give me extra whole days when I need that.

The 1550 ($25) uses 4 AA cells - alkaline or Energizer E2 Lithium or NiMH (which it recharges). I pack mine with some fairly high-capacity NiMH, which adds enough runtime to take me through just about anything - but if it isn't enough, this design lets me stop at a newsstand, get another set of AA cells & keep going. It's also flat, so I can carry it (and a retractable cord) in an inside jacket pocket - I keep my BB clipped nearby, so it's all handy.
