Default Jawbone 2 - 07-18-2008, 07:35 PM

Does anyone use the Jawbone 2 earpiece? I just wanted to know what the difference is between the 1st and 2nd models.

The Jawbone 2 is a vast improvement over the first generation Jawbone. The Jawbone 2 is about half the size of the original. The noise reduction is far superior to the original -- people on both ends of the conversation hear much better. I am able to carry on a conversation driving a motorhome with its V10 at full throttle without the other party realizing. It is clearly the best Bluetooth® headset I have ever used -- I have used "premium" models from Jabra, Plantronics, the orignal Jawbone, and others

Absolutely CORRECT! Jawbone2 are our current TOP sellers, not 1 return!
Gold or Black, both very stylish with the leather loop - nice upgrade over the metal/rubber clip on version 1, but again it is Military Grade Bluetooth, Very High End - littertaly best on the market...

Black - we have at $109 -- less bbforums $5.00 discount
Gold - we have for $135 -- less bbforums $5.00 discount

Argh... Leather loops? I was about to buy a black one, but I don't/won't consume anything made of leather. Do they do a non-leather version of the Jawbone2?

They include loops without leather as well.

If your want to be environmentally UNfriendly, you can consume the the plastic/rubber one.

I've been using the JB2, and I really like it.

Anyone figure out a way to carry this thing? I read somewhere about using a case made by Speck called "ClipPod". Do NOT use this case. The Jawbone does not slide in and out easily, and the elastic that holds it in place also presses the on/off button!! Not a good solution. I'd like to see some sort of molded, zippered case...

Anyone heard of such a thing?

I've used a pretty tacky larger size pill vial for the original Jawbone. The orangey-brown type with child proof lid - don't want those kids getting into my Jawbone.

In my experience usually those lids are adult proof...

Default How is Jawbone 2 with wind? - 08-03-2008, 11:30 PM

Does anybody have any feedback on Jawbone 2 and wind? I am looking for a Bluetooth headset to use in my convertible, wind has been a problem with the headsets I have tried so far. Any feedback would be appreciated!

There are testimonials all over the WWW. I found lots before I got a JB2. Google is your best friend as is the Search function on this site (and other BB sites). I can't offer much testimony, because I don't use a BT headset that often. It works for what I need it for when I need it. I particularly like the size and discreet nature of it. Too many of those BT headsets scream LOOK AT ME! Poseur wannabes need look elsewhere.

The problem with relying on BT headset reviews is that fit is a very personal thing. It's very important for BT headsets that the headset fits comfortably. You can't determine that from other people's reviews on the web. Picking a headset is a bit of trial-and-error because of that.
