Default Jawbone 1 end cap came off - anyone else? - 07-23-2008, 09:06 AM

I was finished charging the Jawbone 1 and pulled off the charger and the end cap came with it. I used a pliers to remove the end cap from the charger and the Jawbone still works but I was a bit disappointed that it "broke" so easily. The Jawbone still seems to work but obviously each time I plug in the charger I will have this problem. I have not actually used/charged the Jawbone more than about a dozen times, if that although I have had it for about 4 or 5 months.

Yep, me too.

I have to be VERY careful in placing the charger on the Jawbone, and removing it.

I emailed Aliph and got a replacement merchandise authorization which I am going to do.

I am still wondering about their decision to go with a design that did not include a simple, small usb charger connection like so many others.

I THINK I sent them an email last night but got a second screen on their contact page which seemed to want extended warranty info. I may call them a bit later.

Yea, I would prefer the mini USB charger as well.

I am using the new JB right now, it is nice, I like it, and the charging cap is still different, but not like the JB1.

I just got off the phone with them. They are shipping me a new one (a credit card was necessary) and I get 30 days to ship back the bad one (and credit card hold will be released)

Likewise, they replaced my headset about 2 months ago.
