Default Blackberry Bold Earbuds - How to? - 11-14-2008, 06:25 PM

So this might sound like a stupid question but I am so confused on how to use these earbuds. How far are you suppose to push them in your ear? Like are they suppose to be noise canceling or something like that? I have used "ipod" style earbuds for years now but these just won't stay in my ears.

I tried pushing them "inside" of my ear which worked for a little bit but I could never use them while I work out plus my ears were a little sore afterwards.

Any suggestions? Buy a new pair?

Not noise canceling...but yes they go in your ear.

I've tried all three sizes of cushions that came with the earbuds and none of them fit nearly as comfortably as my one-size-fits-all iPod earbuds.

They always feel like they're about to fall out.

I also tried wedging them into my ear, but that feels weird and anyway they still fall out.

They must be made for Abe Vigoda...

Try "iPhone" style headsets.

Lightweight ear buds fit comfortably which reduce the noise from the surrounding.
Also avoid the unpleasant feeling of ears after your wearing of the common earphones for hours.

So happy I found this thread. I had the same "stupid question". Well, it's clear now. Get a Bold and pair it with some Iphone like earbuds

The main problem with the BB earphones that come with the Bold is that the silver parts of the earpiece are far too wide and not contoured to fit "in" the ear but rather "on" the ear, hence the odd fitment...

My suggestion is purchasing a set of Sony DR-BT20NX Bluetooth Headphones - excellent bass and sound quality for streaming music wirelessly and the bluetooth dongle-module part also has a built in mic so you can use it for phone calls...

I purchased it for £29 GBP (so circa $44) off eBay and by far the best accessory i've bought for the Bold after the 16gb SD Card!

Had: 8700g, 9000, 8220, 9500, 8110
Have: 8520 Curve

In that order! Missing 3G

Wirelessly posted

I hate earbuds in general, but I find the play/pause button on the wire very handy.

I LOVE these, send all the ones you don't want to me. I was just searching where I could buy an extra pair.
