This device is not retractable. I bought the other "retractable" micro usb cord you sell and received it on Wednesday. The retractable part of this decice is the same as the product I bought. It does not retract.

On Thursday I submitted my written complaint to Seidio that once you pull the cords out, there is no way for the cord to retract. Now I am stuck with this device unless I want to pay for shipping charges to send it back which is ridiculous since the device does not function properly.

I have received an email from Seidio and they are offering to ship me a replacement. Thank you.

Hello John,

I am very sorry about the problems that you are having with our product. I have forwarded this issue to the product engineers to see if this is an isolated case. We stand 100% behind our products and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Thank you!

For what it's worth:

I purchased that exact same charging kit directly from Seidio's online store (product code: TK3RMC-F)
The charging side (red tip) works as it should, but I can't get the sync side (black tip) to work. As soon as I connect my 8900 to my computer via the cable, I get a pop-up message stating "USB Device not Recognized"...."One of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it..."

I have tried connected to both my desktop and laptop computer with the same results, and everything works as it should using the cable that came with my Curve.
I'm not sure if I just got a dud here, or if Seidio needs some R&D improvements.
