Default Wanted: Minimal Flip Lid cover for Bold - 03-01-2009, 11:06 PM

I've been using my Bold for about 90 days now. I love it.

I have a few cases: the original vinyl/leatherette sleeve, a BB OEM black silicone case and a BB OEM swivel leather holster with belt clip (I think it's the premium one).

I think my ideal case would be one with a flip lid. Here's the brief:

Does have:
1. Slim form factor for minimal added-bulk.
2. Corner-protection. Bears the brunt of most drops.
3. Screen protection. Crown jewel of the Bold, protect it.
4. Sleeper function/Trackball protection. This is why I don't just put it in my pocket.

Does not have:
1. Back cover protection.
2. An excess of flaps, clips and other doodads that add size.

My mental picture of this is of a rubberized/silicone surround (no back) with cutouts and molded sections around the edges (like the BB silicone case) to preserve functionality -- with a silicone hinge at the bottom stitched onto a leather/leatherette flip lid. The flip lid would have a detent for the trackball and a magnet to activate the sleeper function. (Maybe the magnet would also serve to keep the flip lid in place?)

That's it. Minimal bulk. Simple. Protects the front and sides from most basic accidents.

Anyone agree? Disagree? Anyone see something like this already?
