Default Bluetooth charge with BB charger??? - 06-12-2009, 09:12 PM

I just got a Motorola S9-HD bluetooth headset but with no charger. Can my BB charger charge it as long as it's mini USB?

Wirelessly posted (VZW 8330)

When I had a bluetooth, I always used my BB charger.

Awesome, I think it'll work, I just wanna be sure. Also, I just read that with old BBs the video doesn't come through bluetooth, what denotes an "old" BB? (i have an 8310)

That's probably OLD. I understand the Storm works and maybe the Bold but I don't know about the other newer units.

Default not on mine ! - 06-13-2009, 10:52 AM

Perhaps there are some variations in this charging question. My S9 will NOT charge on my BB charger, only on its own charger.

Tried all of my chargers, not micro of course, but could not get a charge. I suspect it's looking for a pin wired high. Everyone has to play their charger games I guess. Someone on this site has likely experimented more than I and may have a quick solution. I don't think my S9 would be different than yours but manufacturers do make changes during the life cycle so don't be afraid to try with a couple of different combinations.

Default tried 2 more - 06-13-2009, 03:28 PM

1 folding blade and 1 standard BB charger give the same results : a green led flash from the S9. I cannot say for certain that it isn't charging, only that the charging indicator does not work. When I plug in the charger provided with my S9, it gives 2 green flashes and then goes red, then orange. I think it eventually goes green when fully charged.
