Exclamation BBstorm screen problem or maybe software?? - 06-22-2009, 05:25 PM

Hi everyone!

I currently have a Blackberry Storm(my first ever blackberry)...It was my dads on contract but hes recently got a new phone by a upgrade so I got his storm. I had it a week and the screen started going all fuzzy and then went off completely. It was turning on but nothing at all was coming on the screen so it was completly blank. I took it to a shop and the man said that he didnt think it was a screen problem and that he thinks it was a software problem so he took it away and looked at it then said it was a screen problem and would cost 80pounds to fix! Anyway I paid him the money and I have had the phone back a week and it has done the exact same thing again so now I'm starting to think it wasn't a screen problem at all and I have been ripped off because surely a brand new screen wouldn't break again this quick after being repaired? Also I am on T-Mobile but the phone is on vodaphone so I can not use it for emails or internet so it can't be a virus or bug because I only use it for calls and texts.

What do you guys think the problem is or could be?

P.S I will not be taking the phone back to the person that fixed it previously.

xx

First I would go back and get a refund as they either charged you for something they didn't do or they didn't repair it correctly.

Second it could be anything really, Have a look in the 9500 section for a newer OS version and try upgrading it to see if that fixes the problem. I have had a couple of bold's die on me doing a similar thing (screen seems to die but powers up ok).
