Default how do i get bbm back?

blackberry messenger has been deleted on my phone and its pretty much the only thing i use on my blackberry, ive tried to download it again but it just says download failed.
my blackberry is an english blackberry but i live in spain so i dont know whether this has anything to do with it and i also dont know where my usb cord is to connect it to my laptop.
does anybody know how else to get it back on my phone...please help??!

if it doesn't work, an OS update/reload might be in order...
