as the subject says, i have dead spots on the screen, hence can't use my phone properly. it's out of warranty and a few repair shops i talked to are asking too much to replace the screen. so i wanted to do it myself. i found an affordable part as well as detailed instructions on how to do it. i am somewhat hesitant to proceed given i am not 100% sure this will fix my problem.

if anyone can make a suggestion based on their experience and information provided, would be much appreciated.

what happened exactly, i cleaned my screen with hand sanitizer. i've done it before many times and no issues. this time, i accidently put too much and it looks like it did the damage. so wondering if you think screen replacement is enough or there is more to it.
