Default Blackberry external battery charger problems

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else here use the Blackberry external battery charger? I just received one from together with a new spare battery. When a battery is about 95% charged, the unit's red LED starts flashing which apparently means battery malfunction, yet there's nothing wrong with either of my two batteries (they both charge and work fine in my 7780). Any suggestions or is this just a bad unit?

Check with the manufacturer or retailer. If it's not supposed to behave that way, I would replace it. I have an external charger, but to be honest, I never paid any attention to the lights -- just plugged it in for a few hours, then used the battery (it's hidden behind my desk).

Sounds like a bad unit. LED should go green when done and flashing red is a malfuntion.
