Default 7100 holsters - 02-18-2005, 07:43 PM

Im looking for some nice OEM Rim holsters for the 7100 series. I have googled to no avail. All I can find is cheap crap that looks ugly all over ebay, and every one is selling the same 4 or 5 ugly holsters/cases.

I have a good friend who works for RIM, he has shown me some very nice holsters that they provide to large companies who take dozens to hundreds of the handhelds at a time. Unfortunatly they are not available to the public and are NOWHERE to be found for sale. You basicly have to have one given to you. Bastards.

I have seen a silver/black holster they make for the 7100 which is a sporty style and has a velcro (sp?) flip to keep the BB safe from falling out (unlike the one that comes with the 7100 which is an absolute death wish to your BB) and a similar version but only made entirely of leather. Both of these holsters have the magnet strip for the sleeper function. Both of these bare the Blackberry emblem to proove authintisity.

I would be willing to pay a decent amount for a holster like one of the two I described or something better. Im not interested in the e-bay junk or anything that isnt OEM (RIM) Can anyone hook me up or point me in the right direction? I realize the 7100 series is fairly new and not alot of development is released on beta products but some one has got to have some nice RIM stuff.

Thanx

I only see the OEM holster given with the handheld in the box on that page, the others are the same ones floating all over the net right now. There really isnt much selection yet if you search around.

Bah, I'll either threaten my friend for one or wait till theres something nicer available. :P

Thanks for the pitch Finch...

Decepticon is right there is a very limited selection 7100 cases because most people are fairly happy with the basics.

We just received the new BerryPac for the 7100 which I will post in a few minutes http://store.bizshopr.com/7100t.html

We are (as of Friday) a Krusell dealer and will be posting those cases at our usual favorable pricing.

Default What about a desktop holder - 02-20-2005, 11:43 AM

I know the 7100 is designed so RIM can get more "casual" buyers, but why no desktop holder? What am I supposed to do when I am connected at work? One of those stupid sites shows the old plastic 6000 series holder as being compatible with the 7100 series....yeah right? 7100G has only been out a couple of weeks, so I'll check again in the Summer for more accessories.

There is no RIM desktop cradle.

I agree a cradle would be nice to hold the phone for charging.

Default BB7100 holster - 02-20-2005, 02:32 PM

I have a Krusell horizontal holster. I don't think that ut was designed for the 7100 but it fits although a little tight. It is a very solid case and protects the bb7100 very well. I bought it for about $27.

I posted this a few minutes ago and just noticed this thread. I don't think it looks cheesy and I like the horizontal factor. check it out.

Default cool case coming soon - 02-24-2005, 03:07 PM

:D Hi everyone, I'm new to this board and have fallen in love with my 7100t, a replacement for my Toshiba e740 and Nextel i95cl.

vaja (http://www1.vajacases.com) will be introducing a line of cases for the 7100 series later this spring and if they are as cool as the iPod cases I'd certainally wait instead of getting the Kruesel ones.
