Default New BoxWave Screen Protectors - 07-21-2006, 07:14 PM

Used to use them on my Treo and they were quite nice, but not available for the 8700.

Just got the following email from them:

Dear RoadRider,

Thank you for submitting your request for a BlackBerry 8700 ClearTouch! Because of your request, we have now made it into an actual product! We appreciate you for being an active participant in defining what BoxWave makes for you.

So without further ado, I am pleased to announce BoxWave's new ClearTouch for the BlackBerry 8700! It is available now and orders are being accepted.

Our ClearTouch screen protectors are designed to be washable and re-applicable. The material is durable and scratch-resistant, allowing it to outlast disposable screen protectors by a large enough margin that you should find using the ClearTouch to save you money in the long run.

We have had many customers tell us that they have gotten over a year of daily use on a single ClearTouch screen protector.

You can find more information about the BlackBerry 8700 ClearTouch Crystal here: BoxWave - What's New at BoxWave

We hope you'll enjoy the new ClearTouch! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

Best regards,

BoxWave Corporation

I've had a lot of issues with Boxwave.

I've never gotten them to fit my devices properly. They always seem to be slightly off which results in bubbling along the sides.

Never had problems with bubbles, but they did lift some on the edges as you said. They were super clear though and bullet proof. Used the same one for almost two years and it was still perfect. Anyway, just wanted to pass it on as I hadn't seen it reported yet.

I ordered an 8700G protector from Boxwave a couple weeks ago and it wasn't even close to fitting right. After complaining, I got a replacement today, it is completely different than the first one, and works well. House-shaped with cutouts for the speaker.

Any problem on the edges? Did you get the clear?
