I just saw one of them today. They seem pretty nice and the reps that had them (2 Nextel and 1 RIM), their devices seemed unscatched.

I don't mind scraping the front of mine right above the display on either side of the BB logo... it's the constant scraping walls when you walk to close, or sitting on the train and having it get scraped up from the seats... The backside of my BB is almost tyedied from all the different colors it picks up from various metro/train seats...

Nah, I've actually decided I'm going to just paint the case on my screwed up 7280... Shouldn't be that hard to pull apart and put back together. I'll get one of the nice leather ones after I paint it though

We have been selling quite a few of those rugged cases... seems to be a hit. They are made by NiteIze and good quality. The belt clip is a friction design not a spring load so it should last a good long time.

I purchased one of these cases by NiteIze and they are quite nice, good quality. I like the fact that besides the blackberry you can carry a whole bunch of other stuff in the holster and love the blue tooth headset holder. However, I am no longer using this case as it is missing one very important feature, NO SLEEPER MAGNET. Very important feature for any BB case.

Maybe it is your case, you might want to consider exchanging it. I had the 7520 before upgrading to the 7100i and my sleeper function worked just fine with the 7520 & that case.

Nextel.com website also states this device has the sleeper function. Make sure you are inserting it with the screen facing in as the website states.

"Built in Power Down Display activator conserves battery life automatically when the device is inserted with the screen facing in."

The BlackBerry version does have the magnet - sounds like you have the "PDA" version. One givaway is the extra pockets you mentioned... the BlackBerry version doesn't have them.
