Default Just got new-used 7100t, problems - 01-10-2007, 04:59 AM

First off, does anyone know where to get a user's manual? Second, I got a 7100t from ebay. No charger, bought car charger and I believe the USB is loose. I have to apply slight pressure upward and inward for red light to come on. Does the red light blink while it's charging from flat battery? And after the battery had charged for a while the screen would come on and give me the rotating hourglass icon. Then after a while it would have what I guess is the normal operating screen and a message telling me the battery is almost dead and it will shut down.

I have decided to keep the berry just cause it will cost me more to get another than it will to repair this one, I hope.

Thanks all
Eric

1. Here's a link for a manual: Livelink - Redirection

2. USB port probably needs to be replaced. However, cheap car chargers can be the problem too.

3. Yes, the led flashes if the unit is off while charging.

4. It normally takes about 2 minutes to boot the device (spinning hourglass).

5. Sounds like the battery is/could be bad.

If you are quite the electronics do-it-yourselfer you could replace the USB port, if necessary. To have someone do it, probably around $50-$60. You might try charging the battery for a couple hours before attempting again. A new battery, lists for $50 on shopblackberry.com. There might be cheaper options other places.

Curious to know how much you paid for your 7100.
