Default Has anyone swapped out there 7230 with T-Mobile - 09-21-2004, 02:48 PM

I have one of the original 7230s and I have tons of scratches / paint chipping off the silver part on the front. I have seen a bunch of people now with a new looking silver border around the screen in which the paint doesn't look like it rubs off. I was wondering if anyone has been sucessful with RMAing there device with T-Mobile for a new version? It not a big deal, just mine looks real ugly.

Read the other device swapping thread, it's fairly painless... Took me all of about 25mins and you couldn't tell a difference between the two devices aside from the looks.

I didnt see any mention of the people getting Tmobile to swap the device out with having to pay the $50 fee if there isn't a real problem. I guess I should have been more specific, I wanted to know if anyone has had sucess in convincing tmobile they should fix this problem by giving you a new one. I remember when I had my XDA they did the swap for free because the paint peeled of off almost all the devices....
