Default For Those Of You Who Prefer the OEM Holster... - 01-21-2007, 11:48 AM

I really like the OEM holster. It fits my duty belt, it's low profile, and it's easy to draw my 8703e...but I've read enough on this forum to be wary of it "launching my phone" and the scratches it may cause on the phone

Last week I put on the BSE for the phone and noticed that that the phone was TIGHT in the case because of the pieces around the bevels on the side...

So I said to myself "Self...what if you tightened up the holster?"

I wound up removing the BSE today and put it back in the holster...took a good look at the contact areas...and used some electrical tape to cover a couple areas...now the holster is about as secure as it's going to get without making the phone difficult to remove...

Ten minutes, electrical tape and a knife, that was pretty much it, so it sure didn't hurt to try out

Hope this helps someone
