Default BT BlackBerry service in the UK - 01-24-2007, 06:56 AM

Can anyone advise me on this query? here in the UK, our major telco, BT, offers a BlackBerry service based on the Vodafone network. We know that devices are always locked to a network, but I have heard that you can't take the simcard out of a "BT" BlackBerry and use it on a pure "Vodafone" BlackBerry.

This implies that BT are doing something to the device to lock it into their service, even tho it's on the Vodafone network.

Is this true? Any info appreciated....
