| Yes, the screens are easy to swap. Find a broken BlackBerry 7210, 7230, or 7280 with an uncracked screen. These are guaranteed compatible with your 7280 (7510 screen may work too, as it is the same type).
(IMPORTANT: Don't get the 7520 or 7290 screen, these are definitely incompatible).
Swap the screens and you've got a cheap free self-repair (if you obtain a broken BlackBerry with intact screen for free), much like replacing a RAM module inside a computer. You do need is a Torx T6 screwdriver, often found in precision screwdriver sets, or simply search Google/eBay for "Torx T6"
Alternatively, new screens can be found by some online sellers for approximately $100 each. Broken BlackBerries can be found on eBay for sometimes under $100 each, but make sure it has a good screen (most broken blackberries are because of a broken screen) |
