I have a 7105t that I got from T-Mobile. I now have a Pearl and want to give my 7105t to my brother. He is on AT&T.

Can this phone be used with that carrier? If so, do I have to do something to it?

First, you should have T-Mobile release it from the BIS.
They get it unlocked. GSMPhonesource has always worked for me, and there are other sponsors who do unlocking.

Then it should work.

GSMPhonesource.com is a company that will unlock the 7105t so that it can be used on AT&T. Currently the phone is locked to T-Mobile. They are a company that does the unlocking - you pay them, they send you a code you use to unlock the phone.

T-Mobile "owns" your 7105 in their BIS. When your brother tries to register it, it will PROBABLY say that the phone is already registered. So you will have to call T-Mobile and ask them to release it.
